On Saturday, October 25th, representatives from SRP's benefits department put on an educational/informational class for IBEW members, and family, interested in the upcoming open enrollment. The turnout was good and many of the positive comments that we heard were from employee spouses who never had the opportunity to attend a class like this before.

Everyone meet Dalton.  He is the step son of brother Roger Pirner.  Dalton is one of the bravest and strongest 15 year olds I have ever had the pleasure to bring to anyones attention.  This young man has been fighting for his life for the past year.  Just before his 14th birthday, he was diagnosed with a very rare tumor, Desmoplstic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT).

AT&T Success Sharing Payout

October 29, 2014-AT&T announced that eligible IBEW members employed by the company will receive a Success Sharing Plan (SSP) payout of $177. In 2014, current eligible IBEW- AT&T employees do not receive the dividend portion of the SSP. During 2013 bargaining it was negotiated that the 2014 dividend portion would be paid to eligible retirees to offset costs associated with their retiree healthcare benefits. A payment of $300 was made to eligible retirees in January of this year. Information and Success Sharing payout eligibility can be found on page 153 of our 2013 Collective Bargaining Agreement with AT&T.

The Jim Riley Snare Drum by Ludwig is named after Jim Riley, son of Former Local 950 President James "Chet" Riley and current drummer for Country Recording Artist Rascal Flatts.
